Q: What size should I order?
A:Our Everyday Flip Flops tend to run a half-size small, so we recommend sizing up if you’re between sizes. For example, if you typically wear a 7.5, a Boardwalk size 8 will probably be a great fit for you!
That also means if you have a small foot – say a size 5 or 5.5 – you’ll likely be able to wear a size 6 in Tidewaters.
Though we don’t offer wide or narrow fit specifically on any of our styles, if your foot is on the wider size we recommend choosing from our Everyday Flip Flop collection. If your foot is more narrow, our Premium Flip Flops might be the better option for you!
Our Premium Flip Flops tend to fit wider feet best when you size up as well.

Q: What's your return/exchange policy?
A: We want to make sure you love your Tidewaters, so we make returns and exchanges easy. You have 30 days to return your unworn Tidewaters to us for a refund or an exchange if you need a different size.

Q: I’m a teacher. Are there special savings for me?
A: There sure are! Here at Tidewater, we’re so grateful for the hard work teachers do, and as a small way to say “thank you” we offer teachers 20% off on their Tidewater purchases all year long. To access this discount, just register on this page!
Q: Can I wash my Tidewaters?
A: While we have customers who swear by putting their Tidewaters in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and then letting them air dry, we’ll let you decide if that approach is one you’d like to try!
We DO recommend spot treating any fabric stains using a gentle stain remover and also hand washing your Tidewaters in the sink with dish soap and warm water to keep them looking their best.
Q: Where are your sandals made?
A: Our shoes are designed here in the U.S. (we’re headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina), and then they’re manufactured in a few different locations overseas.
